wingpanel is not located on main display if certain dual monitor position

Bug Description
When the secondary monitor is located on top of the main display, WingPanel locates itself there, however Slingshot locates itself on the main display correctly. Screenshot attached:

Slingshot appears at the main screen, where e.g. Plank is.
I've got a triple screen setup on my dock (two on top, one bottom center) and find it irritating that wingpanel is only on my top left screen and Slingshot opens on my bottom center screen.
Don't know if it's working by design or something that needs improvement. Maybe Slingshot has to check better where to appear?
