Bug Description

Reproduction:
create a new pcb file.
draw some tracks on top and bottom layer with overlapping pats.
activate selection tool
move cursor to overlapping tracks and hit DEL
the "clarify selection" menu pops up.
select one of the suggestions with the mouse cursor, and be sure, that under the cursor, behind the menu, there is currently another track. now click.

Bug:
both tracks get deleted.
1. the one, which popped up the menu and got selected
2. the one, which was behind the menu and under the cursor, when clicking in the context menu

Workaround:
1) be sure, there is no opject under the cursor, when clicking in the context menu
2) or move the object to an empty region before deleting it

I cannot reproduce your problem.
Please confirm it happens for you each time you try to delete one of these 2 overlapping tracks..

Hi Karl,

I am also not able reproduce it. Would you record a short video that exposes the bug?

Thank you in advance,
Orson

I have Kubuntu 14.04, perhaps, that's the problem?

Another intersting behaveor in this topic:
when the context menue is shown, and I move the cursor outside the menu, and hit then ESC, then the object under the cursor gets also deleted.

With the *same Kubuntu* install, I cannot reproduce this issue.

Are you sure the object is deleted ?
Perhaps there is only some obscure issue with an openGL broken driver. We already have seen that, more than once.

Can you try this test:

1 - Creates this issue.
2 - save and quit Kicad.
3 - Reopen your brd file, and verify if the object is *actually* deleted.

Thanks.

I can't reproduce this either, following the same test as in your video. As well as the test JP mentioned above, could you also save and upload the PCB file as an attachment here?

sorry for my absence.
I had some troubles with my notebook. unfortunately I reinstalled the system. now it is Kubuntu 14.10 64 bit. Here I cannot reproduce the bug either.
I somehow managed to have a strange behaviour on the system before.

sorry for the circumstances.
