Bug Description
Upgraded from Feisty to Gutsy Herd 5 on 20/09/07, when I restarted into gutsy all appeared well until the gnome display manager started. Then a black horizontal bar starting at 25% from the top of the screen to the middle of the screen appeared. I installed all updates and rebooted, but still there. Tried to take a screenshot, but it doesn't show up on that:-(
I am using an Ipex H767 crt monitor (shown as a Compal H767 in the screen and graphics dialog) with an Intel i810 integrated graphics chip, which also seems to be set up properly.
dmesg is as follows:

My apologies. This is a duplicate of bug <a href="https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ xorg-server/ +bug/137604">#137604</a>. There is a workaround there for people with i810 chipsets.
