update from 7.04 to 7.10 error

IBM Thinkpad R51
Ubuntu 7.04, all update's until 19. september 2007
i use ALT-F2 to do a
gksudo "update-manager -c -d"
i did it in terminal and get the following error(s)

authenticate '/tmp/tmpCokcdo
could not send the dbus Inhibit signal: global name 'dbus' is not defined
