Right click on application icon doesn't work on tiling display

When clicking an application icon, Ubuntu tiles it's windows as expected.
But, if when on tile display, I right click the application icon, to close all windows for example, the right click menu opens up, but I can't choose anything from it.
The right click menu is then stuck, and is not highlighted when I hover over it with the mouse. This is until I right click again
An example use-case that happens to me a lot is if I want to tile all my gnome-terminal windows to see if there's anything important running, and after I see there's nothing important, I want to close all windows, so I right click the gnome-terminal icon.
