Bug Description

Install "Something Else" to an existing partition, selected EXT4, reformat, root /

Message just said "installer crash" no other clue.

PC was already running vuvid updated to 3.18.0-8 15.04 O.K. (couple display bugs) so I wanted to do a fresh install.

Preceding this bug, install message:

ubi-console-setup failed code 2. More information is in /var/log/syslog.

I attempted to add attachment /var/log/syslog however the live invironment just hung after Add Attachment.

Not successful in attaching /var/log/syslog to an email either.

Same bug with 11 January Vivid amd64 .iso

Today's daily build still fails, same ubi-console-setup exit code 2

I wonder if this is the cause of the problem:

an 10 22:15:35 ubuntu ubiquity: setupcon: None of /etc/default/keyboard nor /root/.console-setup exists.
