I have not seen this since I fixed the refraction bug, and doubt this has been introduced by tweaking an altitude angle by a few arcseconds, but have seen some "brightness pumping" a few times before, last year, under rare circumstances, it always vanished promptly when I changed the view direction. I guess this is something in balancing eye glare (SkyDrawer?). Do you see it all the time? then please version (Angle/OpenGL, is there a difference?) etc, can you really reproduce it only since r7261 or also before? Or if it happens not all the time, how to replay it: date/time, location?
