Bug Description

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your bug report it seems that you are experiencing bug 346386. This issue happens when you have tried to update your package information when you are a network that didn't return the right files. This issue can be cleaned up by using the following commands in a terminal:

1.) sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*
2.) sudo apt-get update

Thanks and good luck!

Thanks for quick response.

first command did not work, as shown below but second is under action.

ygb is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
ygb@guillon-EeeX101:~$ su guillon-admin
Mot de passe :
guillon-admin@guillon-EeeX101:/home/ygb$ sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*
sudo: unable to resolve host guillon-EeeX101
[sudo] password for guillon-admin:

guillon-admin@guillon-EeeX101:/home/ygb$ sudo apt-get update

This actually succeeded in allowing new updates

About initial causes, I have only some uncertain reminds :

 1. last update strangely jumped from 3.2.0-72 to 3.2.0-74
 2. previous update was aimed to 3.2.0-73 but was not achieved, probably
because my HD was too crowded, I suppressed some of the proposed
updates from the list in an attept to update. Later i deleted some
data during the intermediate week (or more).
