Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

The gnome-terminal display shows only a blinking pixel. The pixel responds to keystrokes, and it moves to the right as text is entered, but the text is not visible.

Gnome Terminal version: 2.18.1
Kernel: 2.6.20-16-386

Also running compiz-fusion with ATI fglrx driver for Radeon 9200.

I can also confirm this on x86_64 AMD64 Ubuntu 7.10.
Using compiz-fusion with ATI fglrx driver for Radion x1300

This happened to me tonight, after updating with Updater through the Repositories. I tried removing the package with XTERM and "reinstalling" it but this did no justice to the gnome-terminal.
