Could you please provide some more details about how you were trying install this package? Were you using apt, software-center, something else?

Actually what i did is download a copy of guitar pro at their site and
double clicked on the downloaded file., somehow what i did for me to use
the software is format my pc again using a 32bit ubuntu. before i was using
64bit and i was having problem with the guitar pro installation.

This error occurred while the Ubuntu Software Center was trying to automatically repair something on my system.
