Bug Description

I'm currently running Kubuntu 15.04 updated with proposed repositories.

Konsole sometimes crashes (already reported that https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341818), however since an update on the 15th the crash reporting assistant is unable to generate a useful backtraces even though I have the konsole-dgb package installed. And also the assistant says that the debug symbols need to be installed, but is unable to install them (doesn't find the package or at least it doesn't suggest the installation of any).

Today I have also suffered this crash on exit and again could not get a viable backtrace.

Right now the only info the crash gives is:
Application: Konsole (konsole), signal: Segmentation fault

Could you try and install the dbgsym packages as indicated by https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash#Debug_Symbol_Packages to see if that allows you to generate backtraces?

And please do not use proposed repos on Vivid, this is not supported.

Hi,

what exactly means that the proposed on Vivid are not supported?, I know is the development version and I'm aware of it's alpha 1 state.

Regarding the bug, I have seen you link, but even though that probably works it does not resolve this bug; the problem is that the KDE reporting tool is unable to find a package with suitable debug symbols for konsole; even with konsole-dbg installed.

Today Konsole crashed again (that's reported to kde), but the assitant was able to generate a usefull backtrace. Maybe this got fix in some of the updates.
