Bug Description
I originally reported this as a follow-up to bug 269904:

On a GeForce 6150SE running the nvidia-304 driver, with x11-sync enabled, compiz hangs and prints repeatedly:
compiz (opengl) - Error: Timed out waiting for sync object.
Disabling x11-sync works around the problem and lets compiz work again.

With nouveau on the same GPU (with "nouveau. config= NvMSI=0" , to avoid bug 1181902), x11-sync seems to work fine.
