backlight problem ubuntu 14-04

Bug Description

unless you decrease the value of the brighness, the screen stays at maximum brightness.
I do not like to type all kind of unsure command line code from which my ubuntu crashes, so i report it this way.

Cor Hout, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Are you reporting about how your computer doesn't have the same brightness level from prior to a restart? Or, are you reporting something different?
