compiz 3D windows cube disappears on mouse rotate

Bug Description
When rotating the cube with 3D windows enabled, the cube disappears, leaving only the windows.
I can't really describe in words the result, so I'll leave it to the video attachment.
BTW I"m on a pretty fresh ubuntu 14.10 install. System is up-to-date, and I can't think of any reason why it would do this.

It does this because there is a known bug in the 3D plugin that causes redering issues.
