Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04
Ubuntu 3.13.0-40.69-generic 3.13.11.10

I get this after login to console:

INFO: task kworker/0:3:251 blocked for more than 120 seconds
INFO: task systemd-udevd:1306 blocked for more than 120 seconds

I also get the same errors during reboot and the reboot hangs after "Stopping System V runlevel compatibility [OK]"

I am running two identical newly installed servers on as virtual machines on Hyper-V on Windows Server 2012. Both have the same problem.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.18 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
