Bug Description
Binary package hint: libdvdread3
Architecture: amd64
Version: Ubuntu 7.10.5
Summary: Commercial DVDs fail to mount. System simply hangs spinning disks. Both libdvdread3 and libdvdcss2 are installed. Tested under three different commercial DVDs.
This has been tested with libdvdcss2 installed via the install-css.sh script and the pre-built packages via Medibuntu.
The above process worked flawlessly in Breezy, Dapper, Edgy, and Feisty. Gutsy appears to be the only version that gags on them.
