Bug Description

While installing abiword, the installation was disrupted; dpkg --configure -a said that the above package was in bad shape and needs reinstallation. libgoffice-0.10-10-common 0.10.9-1.

This line proves what ought to be done to set matters right.

libgoffice-0.10-10-common:0.10.9-1:package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempting configuration

sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgoffice-0.10-10-common:0.10.9-1

and

sudo apt-get remove abiword

cleaned up the mess.

Then a fresh install

sudo apt-get install abiword.

This seems to have worked without throwing up a lot of problems. Thanks for the solution from the Google search.
