Easier way to change what ACPI events do

Bug Description

Currently, out of the box the ACPI scripts are set up to suspend when the sleep
button is pressed,
hibernate whenthe hibernate button is pressed, blank screen when the lid is
closed, and shut down when the
power button is pressed. It can be difficult tochange these mappings,
especially since there are like 6 different sleep events,
4 different hibernate key events, etc etc.

Could there be entries in /etc/default/acpi-support to set what each event does?
 I know it's probably too
late for a GUI, but this may be doable.

It may be a good idea to move all of the scripts in /etc/acpi to their own
directory if you do this. Then you could
have event handling scripts in /etc/acpi/actions which call the right scripts
based on the settings in /etc/default/acpi-support.

Gnome-power-manager should be integrated soon, and should offer this functionality
