Bug Description

On a couple of occasions over the weekend my phone has become unusable. I can unlock it, swipe the launcher out, pull down indicators, launch applications (from the launcher) and switch applications from the side. I cannot use any scops. They don't respond to touch at all. I'm stuck on the "Today" scope.

Added unity8, because that might also be involved.

A stack trace would be super-useful, both of the stuck scope, and of unity-shell.

Do you have any suggestions for how to reproduce?

I suspect it's a moldy oldie by now. No-one has reported anything similar since this issue was opened, and we don't have enough information here to act on anything.

Following Michi's comment and the fact that noone seems to have seen this recently i've put both bugs as Incomplete so that the bug gets expired in 59 days if noone comes up with more information.

I can confirm this has happened to me, scopes froze up for a couple minutes then started working again

Has nothing to do with this bug then, yours seems as if scopes crashed and then restarted, please report a new bug.

I'm adding a comment to keep this alive. I have had this bug on occasion on krillin rtm v20. I haven't had an episode since upgrading to v21 a couple of days ago but can't see anything in the changelogs which suggest it has been fixed. If it has been fixed in the meantime, sorry for the spam but this bug should then be closed.

Unless you know your issue is because of cgroups as the subject says, don't write anything in here. Open a new bug and describe your problem in there.

Closing this because, by now, this is almost certainly a non-bug.
