Bug Description
I don't think it necessary to have slingshot be transparent at least not in the very slight degree it is now, as one can see heavy text through the launcher background (which looks like old school plasma TV screenburn).

I'm indifferent, but I have noticed that it looks like screen burn/image retention when there's something high contrast behind the launcher.
