python-novaclient is not actually needed on the compute node, since the 'nova service-list' command documented on the page should be done on the controller node.

I'm personnaly not against adding the dependency but I think this has already been discussed a while ago and I think we decided to not install the clients on the compute and storage nodes.

Matt, what do you think?

Xing Li, what's the reason for installing the client?

I don't see any reason to explicitly install clients on nodes other than the controller.

Hi,

I think all of you are correct: I was trying to run "nova service-list" and "nova image-list" at the compute node and then it requires to install that package. Sorry for the confusion.
