Bug Description

Binary package hint: pamusb-tools

I have two pretec usb flash storage devices. detection works not with 0.4.0.
Building and installing pam_usb-0.4.1 from source did not cause an trouble(tested within feisty and gutsy). My recomendation: update to 0.4.1.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?

In 8.10RC is detection OK. Small problem is with pmout, which not recognize my flash disk as removable media. This can be corrected adding flash disk partition device name to /etc/pmout.allow.

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? You can get a Live CD at:

I try version from Ubuntu 10.04 and working fine, pmout now recognize my fash as removable.
