Bug Description

Dear all,

I got my new Asus TP300LA and in windows 8.1 every thing is OK. I installed the latest version of ubuntu, 14.10, and wifi is not working.

If I type "ubuntu -bug linux" i get the following message:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem in linux-image-3.13.0-32-generic.

The problem can not be reported:

This is not an official Ubuntu package. Please remove any thir party package and try again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a ubuntu user for the last years, but I am not expert. Can anybody help to fix this problem or indicate how to report a bug??

Thanks !!!!!

Mikel

Dear all,

1. I changed the status of the bug to "Confirmed"
2. If I type "apport-collect 1395476" in a terminal I get this:

" You need to run 'sudo -apt get install python -apport' for apport-collect to work", which in turn I cant install due to wifi is not working.

Dear all,

Finally I solved the solution following these simple steps:

1. Use a usb network adapter. I used a borrowed one, asus USB N-10 model.
2. I updated all the software, using "Software updater".
3. Restart the computer.

After all, wifi was working without using the adapter.

I hope it will be useful for other users,

Thanks!!

Mikel
