Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.18 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

I'm going to test this on 3.14 because I had 3.13 installed as it seems there have been reports of people with the same problem with 3.13.

I installed 3.14. If this fixes things, I'll add the tag and close the bug.
