Errors when clicking away from a loading screen (Network or Settings)

To make it easier to reproduce, turn off 'cacheFor' in models.js line 553 (NetworkConfiguration model).

Go to Network tab, progress bar should appear, quickly click away to other tab (while the progress bar is present):

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'toJSON' of undefined

Similar thing happens on Settings tab: after clicking away a popup appears that you have modified the settings while nothing really was touched.

I don't know a way to reliably reproduce it with cacheFor turned on.
