Bug Description

Binary package hint: tomboy

plugins installed in the ordinary way (in .tomboy/Plugins or /usr/lib/tomboy/Plugins) do not appear in the addins panel in tomboy's preferences, andthere is no plugins pane. so there seems to be no way to add this functionality to tomboy as of gutsy.

I've tried reminder (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http
%3A%2F%2Fraphael.slinckx.net%2Fblog%2Fprojects%2Ftomboy-reminder-plugin%

and TasksList ( http://www.ediweissmann.com/taskslist/ ).

I think, though, that the problem has to do with the new Addins
structure that has been incorporated in recent tomboy releases. It
looks from the changelog as though plugin support has been deprecated.
is that your impression too?

According to http://live.gnome.org/Tomboy/HowToCreatePlugins ; since tomboy 0.7.2 plugins are no longer supported... sad.

Closing this report, not a tomboy problem rather a 3rd party one. thanks.

um, i'd beg to differ -- the problem is that plugins are deprecated in
0.10. so the issue is with tomboy itself, which probably ought to have
a warning. should have added a comment earlier, sorry, matt
