Bug Description

This error is seen when executing tests inside a pbuilder chroot package build:
LLVM ERROR: Cannot select: intrinsic %llvm.x86.sse41.pblendvb

I've filed this under the mesa libraries due to the patch below which was indicated in similar bug reports.

I'll also attach the full log.

The test is using Xvfb to supply X. It is running on a virtual machine in an openstack cloud with a kernel of:
3.13.0-39-generic #66-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 28 13:30:27 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This issue was not seen with earlier kernels. I can't prove which one was in use prior, but it might be 3.12.0-4-generic.

I can reproduce this on another machine running 3.16.0-24-generic.

While trying to find a fix for this, I came across a number of existing bugs with the same error message:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2014-September/067583.html
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41918
https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=83735

and this patch appeared to be the fix:
