sometimes when i unlock the phone both the left edge and right edge multi tasking gesture doesn't work so I can't do anything except use the top edge and i can't open scopes and my favorite apps.
But I've found a trick. When these edges doesn't work I can still bring up the left edge and right edge gesture by using two fingers at a time while single finger doesn't work. I don't know why it doesn't works sometimes with single finger. I am using Ubuntu touch rtm r5 and same happened on the r3 also so I think I've to report this issue.

+1 this is also occasionally an issue on my Nexus 4 running the latest rc-proposed image. I have no idea what causes this, but rebooting the device is a temporary fix.
