Gedit Freezes when typing "<b in certain conditions

Bug Description
Gedit completely freezes if I add "<b to one of the PHP lines of a PHP file. I attached the PHP file to help reproducing this bug.
To reproduce this bug :
1. Just open the PHP file in Gedit
2. Go to the line 254
3. Add "<b to the line, which should now be : echo "<b$result[
Gedit is now freeze but gives no backtrace.
