/var/tmp/guestfs* in nova compute cleanup

This is for MOS 5.1

we noticed that that even after deleting the VM via Nova delete api there are entries left in /var/tmp/guest*
is there anyway to automatically clean this up ? i have not seen this issue in devstack ?

is this a bug ?
how to cleanup this so that nova compute should not go out of space .

Nova team, I am targeting this bug to all active releases, though it is not clear if issue is reproducible on 6.0. Please investigate.

What is a reason for "Won't Fix " status for 5.1.x ?
Guys this is a critical bug, guestfs.* folders easily eat available free space on compute hosts.

Fixed on Ubuntu 12.04 by means of exec "update-guestfs-appliance"
