No way to get to the Sound Settings

Since the update to 14.10 I cannot get ot the Sound Settings anymore. This happens always, a reboot does not help.

Thanks. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 1359249, so I will mark it as such. Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug.
