Bug Description

I recently upgraded to Kubuntu 14.10 from Kubuntu 14.04 and I'm finding that my laptop screen no longer turns off after 5 minutes as I had it configured. In System Settings -> Energy Savings, I have "Screen Energy Savings" set to turn off after 5 minutes and it's been this way for a while. I most often use KDE but I also have fwm and xscreensaver installed. It seems that after the upgrade, only xscreensaver is used and not KDE's native power saving features.

This came from the question below and I was told to log a bug:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/256146

Please let me know what else I can provide to help - I'm relatively new to Linux so I'm not sure how to fully debug things.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1385632/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
