Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thanks for your report. I don't know why this happened.

From VarLogDistupgradeApttermlog:

Setting up language-selector-common (0.135) ...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
dpkg: error processing package language-selector-common (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 139
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of kde-runtime:
 kde-runtime depends on language-selector-common; however:
  Package language-selector-common is not configured yet.

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of language-selector-gnome:
 language-selector-gnome depends on language-selector-common (= 0.135); however:
  Package language-selector-common is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing package language-selector-gnome (--configure):

To find out if this was a temporary glitch, can you please:

* Uninstall (purge) language-selector-common
* Install language-selector-common again
* Re-install kde-runtime
* Re-install language-selector-gnome

and let us know if that could be accomplished without errors.

Also, since you seem to use a KDE desktop, are you possibly using Kubuntu? In that case you should not use language-selector-gnome.
