Kubuntu 14.10 with Plasma 5 installed uses wrong About data

When running Kubuntu 14.10 with Plasma 5 installed (from plasma-next ppa), if we open About System module in System Settings we see data related to Ubuntu not Kubuntu. The same thing happens in GRUB where we have entry Ubuntu not Kubuntu.

grub is unrelated and known, changing those caused various problems

about-data just needs overridden in kubuntu-settings

There have been many changes in Kubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Kubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1384415

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
