smuxi notifications are duplicated, multiplied in Messaging Menu

In IRC highlighted notifications, the Messaging Menu is updated from gnome frontend of smuxi. At the first notification, the menu gets one item with correct info. At second, there are two identical notifications with the second's details.

At nineth, there are nine identical lines with the nineth's details in the Messaging Menu.

First I thought this is a problem with multiple Smuxi instances because the MessagingMenu no longer supports IPC itself, but your screenshot looks like a single Smuxi instance is showing the same highlight multiple times. So in the screenshot you were highlighted once and no other highlights were active at that time?

What Smuxi version is that? dpkg -l smuxi or Help -> About from the menu

I got highlights that number of times, from different sources.

I will make an Ubuntu VM so I can reproduce this issue. The last time I have tested MessaginMenu was when implemented that support like 2 years ago (or more).

same issue for me too, on ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
