liferea missing file

Binary package hint: liferea

I installed the package liferea from Add/Remove programs to read RSS. When the setup was done I tried to start the application from the main menu Programs >Internet> Liferea but nothing showed up. I tried again and still nothing happened. Then typed liferea in the terminal and IO error message was shown. According to it there was a missing file in /usr/share/liferea/opml - feedlist_bg.opml (/usr/share/liferea/opml/feedlist_bg.opml). I opened the dir and there were files for many different languages but bulgarian (what bg stands for): feedlist_de.opml, feedlist_es.opml, feedlist_fr.opml. So I copied the english version and renamed it as needed and the program run OK. So I'm asking the developers to either put the file in the next release or write README for translators to add it.

What Ubuntu and liferea release do you have? This is fixed with recent liferea releases, which check whether the file exist, and if not use the english feedlist.

The solution to this would be to correct the translation, which shouldn't translate feedlist.opml to feedlist_bg.opml if there isn't a feedlist_bg.opml file.

I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 with Liferea 1.2.10 - the one that people can download from Add/Remove programs.

It's fixed in Ubuntu Gutsy (which hasn't been released yet).

For Ubuntu Gutsy, we would need to fix this translation, which should be feedlist.opml instead of feedlist_bg.opml, since there's no feedlist_bg.opml.
