In Horizon, the version details of the openstack is not provided. Usually all the software provides the "About" dialog to provide the details of the product version. Its missing in the Horizon

This seems like a duplicate of bug 1261431 to me, which was fixed in Juno.

In the bug 1261431, it displays only version information for Horizon service on the System Information page.

We are still missing the Openstack Version information which should be displayed to the user (preferably only admin user).
So, adding an About dialog would be useful.

I'm still not convinced that this is needed... Admins users already have access to this information thanks to https://review.openstack.org/#/c/99689/ and I'm not sure how much value there is to show the version information for a website. I'm concerned about the downsides like making it easier for malicious users to figure out the vulnerabilities reported against a specific version (although at least the patch only shows the general 2015.1 version rather than at the point release level, if I understand correctly).
