Sorry for the scant awareness here, but I was "just computing along" when this happened. At the time, I think an 'apt get update' was running and that's all I was really doing besides browsing Facebook or something in Chrome and looking up Ubuntu community help topics in Firefox. Then the graphics driver crashed. That's all I'm really aware of for this one.

I noticed the same bug during a system update (and was sent here by Apport) but the actual time in my /var/lib/dkms/nvidia-331-updates-uvm/331.89/3.16.0-21-generic/x86_64/log/make.log is Thu Oct 9 02:25:10 CEST 2014

OK, it seems I looked in the wrong log. The right one is located at /var/lib/dkms/nvidia-331-updates/331.89/build/make.log and looks as attached.
