I confirm I am getting this error on the following system:

Linux Mint 17 (qiana)
3.13.0-24-generic #46-Ubuntu x86_64

I have installed all the requested packages:
- ifuse
- libimobiledevice4
- libimobiledevice-utils
- gvfs
- libtasn1-3

I have also "sudo chmod 777 /var/lib/lockdown"

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 8.4 installed.

Thanks

Marco

My iPhone 6 with iOS 8.4 is also affected by this bug on Linux Mint 17 Mate. Upgrading to Mint 17.3 does not help.
Interestingly the bug does not exist in Linux Mint 15, and also not in Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 (Betsy) Mate. I can connect my iPhone without any issue to Mint 15 and LMDE 2.
What is the difference? Please help.
I tried every possible solution I could find on the internet. Nothing changes.
