Bug Description
On my system (Debian jessie, amd64), running a
$python setup.py test
from the released package available in pypi, it fails with the following error:
TypeError: isinstance() arg 2 must be a class, type, or tuple of classes and types
.
I'm attaching a log file with the exact steps I did to encounter the bug.
