Bug Description
Binary package hint: samba
This bug prevents laptop users from logging onto their systems when disconnected from the network. Thus I am marking it critical.
Debian fixes this with a new fhs.patch file in 3.0.25b-2. It ensures winbind is opening cache files from the proper locations. Copying fhs.patch from Debian's 3.0.25b-2 release is good enough to solve the issue. There are no Ubuntu changes to this file.

According to the Debian changelog, the path to idmap_cache.tdb has to
fix on winbind upgrade. So the postinst script may also need to be
changed.
