Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I upgraded one machine to Gutsy and keep updating it almost daily. Since the dist upgrade I noticed that the update manager only uses half of its progress bar. Meaning that when the updating is finished, the progress bar always is at about 50% of its length. Not really a big issue, but obviously incorrect.

Thanks for your bugreport.

This sounds like it is releated to the latest dpkg trigger changes in libapt.

I looked into this today and it is indeed the new triggers code that causes the issues with the progressbar.

Is this fixed following the changes the other day to apt and dpkg to improve progress reporting there, or is there more still to do?

I just installed the newest 14 updates, and the progress bar now works as expected. I will keep watching this in the future, but to me it seems fixed.
