Please backport nvidia-modprobe 340.24-1 (multiverse) from utopic to trusty.

Reason for the backport:
========================
nvidia-modprobe allows normal users to run CUDA and OpenCL applications.
Without nvidia-modprobe, the first CUDA or OpenCL application needs to be
run by root, or the nvidia_uvm module needs to be loaded.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
