Bug Description

Binary package hint: gq

Using gq, it was previously possible to select a hash method and store a hashed password when editing the userPassword attribute. In the most recent versions, it is no longer possible.

It may be specific to Dapper; I have not tried with Gutsy (or Feisty)

I cannot test the version in Intrepid due to bug #110278. The version in Herbert Straub's PPA does not have this problem.

gq is removed from repositories an adequate replacement seems luma.

Setting to Won't Fix as the package 'gq' has been removed in Oneiric and Precise and there are better alternatives in the archives. I'm sorry that your report hasn't been dealt with in time, but please continue to report any other bugs you might encounter.
