New package maven-2.0.7

I've prepared a new ubuntu package for maven-2.0.7 and I liked to upload this to revu.

May some package maintainer step up as advocate for this wish?

This patch adds the debian package infrastructure to the maven-2.0.7-bin.tar.bz2 tarball from http://maven.apache.org

We only backport from the Ubuntu developmental branch, Adding Ubuntu and marking Invalid for feisty-backports.

Thanks for having a look at this one, I just didn't know where to post new packages ;-)

Adding this one to gusty would be really nice.

There's practically no risk incurred by adding this package, since no package depends on maven and it's a pure developer package.

Wolfgang, you can track maven2 packaging progress in http://wiki.debian.org/Java/Maven2
Although this is gutsy+1 material, backporting is possible in the future.

Isn't this a duplicate of Bug #102037 ?

I'd like to see this package backported to Gutsy too.
