There is another bug about that: Bug #121421.
I created this one for dell project but I'm not sure they are interested :-(. I also posted on ubuntu forum but without any success: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3238295#post3238295

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

apologise for not reporting before: the solution was the activation of the bluetooth using the window application provided by dell; after that bluez works properly with at least 7.10.
thank you
