Bug Description

Hi,

I am using Linux Mint 17 .

since I updated from Mint 16 to Mint 17 the "Clone MAC addres"s(its the feature to overwrite the MAC address, I am using the German version but my search indicated that the feature is called like that) feature doesn't work anymore. If I enter a user defined MAC address it has no effect on my Wifi cards MAC address. Almost the same as here: http://superuser.com/questions/779173/how-to-spoof-the-mac-on-a-wifi-linux-mint-17-with-nm.

For now I used macchanger like in the linked topic suggested(and it works fine so far), but if it is a bug a fix would still be nice because the macchanger solution isn't very easy(but not that difficult either) and since the feature is already implemented it would be a shame to leave it like that.

Greetings

Michi

If you issue the commands

ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 up

does it change?

From the GUI, if you flip the on switch to OFF then back on..does that work also?
