Bug Description
I installed the notified update to my Feisty Fawn Acer Laptop on 2007/09/02.
On reboot sound was gone. During shutdown the message 'no sound Card' is seen in red.
I worked through the guidance given in 'Comprehensive Sound Problem Solutions Guide v0.5e' at http://
When running command 'sudo module-assistant a-i alsa-source' I get an Error.
I'm running an Acer Laptop with a ATI SB450 HDA sound card. The driver should be hda_intel.
Entering 'sudo modprobe snd-hda_intel' returns a Fatal error.
If I role back to previouse version of Kernel ---.15 the sound works fine.
Help would be appreciated.
Steve
