Bug Description

Want to install kubuntu 14.10 beta 1 plasma 5 on my PC.
Previous attempts with kubuntu 14.04 LTS failed as well.

Steps:
Boot kubuntu 14.xx amd64 ISO from USB stick.
Runs until glowing kubuntu logo appears.
After some time, a messed screen appears on 14.10. In 14.04 system simply hangs.

Diagnostics:
When pressing escape earlier in the boot process I see the boot messages run through as usual. They stop at a certain point, not always the same on different tries.
Wildly switching virtual consoles during boot process allows me to see error messages that hint at the nouveau driver.
When I force the board to boot into the internal graphics card instead of the NVIDIA Quadro NVS450, all is fine.

Please find attached dmesg and Xorg.0.log from failed boot unter kubuntu 14.10 beta 1 plasma 5.
