BleachBit (root)won't let me enter my password in the teminal emulator in Xubuntu 14.04

Question #1: Did you install BleachBit from the Ubuntu repository (APT) or from http://bleachbit.sourceforge.net/ ?

Question #2: Are you launching BleachBit from the Xfce menu or from the terminal?

I am fairly new to Linux.
This is the first time I have used Xubuntu 14.04. I upgraded from 13.10(?).
I don't rember the exact version.
Bleachbit worked fine on my older version.

#1 I installed it from the Ubuntu Repository.
#2 I launching it from the Applications Menu / System / Bleachbit (Root)

I think the Ubuntu repository has this set up differently, so I marked this as affecting Ubuntu/bleachbit.

Fignewt, what happens after you launch from the menu? Is there a terminal with a password prompt? Is there any error message?
